A Classic Case Study in How Triangle Business

TBB members understand how TBB works for the member. This article
examines a classic case of just how well TBB works, and also illuminates
how the customer can benefit from doing business with TBB members.
A company based in New Hampshire is opening an office in Cary with
plans to secure office space and begin operations by mid-August.
Therefore, they had a lot of contacts to make and a lot of goods
and services to secure in a short period of time. Matt Healy with
Creative Business Interiors made the original contact with the customer.
In Matts initial contact with the customer, he recognized
that they would need telephone equipment, which he did not provide.
Therefore, he provided a referral to Anna Marks with Bunn Communications.
Anna recognized that the customer would need voice and data communication
services, which she could not provide, so she provided a referral
to me. During the process of quoting voice services, high speed
data services, and virtual private networking for the customer,
it became obvious to me that they would need to set up an internal
local area network, which is a service my company doesnt provide.
I then referred the customer to Frank Krebs of DualBoot Consulting.
The customer said he would not need help setting up his network,
but would need ongoing IT support, and would contact Frank concerning
that support.
I recently had lunch with the local representative for the customer
and their logistics person from their New Hampshire office. During
that lunch meeting, I explained to them how TBB works. They were
very impressed with how well and expeditiously things were going.
They did not relish the idea of sitting down with the Yellow Pages
and wading through a maze of vendors to secure the goods and services
they would need. They said that TBB members had saved them a tremendous
amount of time and leg work and would make the process of opening
their office much less painful than it otherwise would have been.
This case study shows how TBB can and does work to the benefit of
members and customers. Our goal is to help others solve their problems,
but we do not always have the resources to accomplish that goal.
Your TBB associates provide you with a tremendous resource to help
you meet the needs of your customers, even when their needs do not
fit into your area of expertise.
